I met Marisa of Grace & Light Photo back in October at Jeremy Chou‘s workshop, and it was so lovely to get to know her. So when I began planning a trip to Southern California for my nieces fifth birthday (hellooo Disneyland!), I thought it would be incredible to do a shoot while down there- and reconnect with Marisa! We spent a few months collaborating with each other, picking out stunning details, like the fabulous dress by Mywony, a Ukrainian bridal gown designer. We also worked with a few local vendors- which was really awesome for me! Of course, we can’t forget the sparkler by Susie Saltzman, who is hands down my favorite ring designer. She can do no wrong! Of course, something typically goes wrong with a styled shoot. I seem to be pretty cursed with rain on the days that I plan my shoots. And even though we were in Southern California- I brought the Oregon rain with me. However, the rain dissipated and we were graced with that beautiful, soft light that we can seemingly only find in Southern California. I am just crazy about the way that everything came together, and I am already missing that light!
